The technical interface
The service provides an independent technical interface between Owners, management companies, Captains, Chief Engineers, shipyards, contractors, manufacturers and specialist suppliers.
Where involvement begins and ends
Technical involvement can begin with the initial assessment and continue through planning, repair and modification works, contractor coordination, progress monitoring, technical inspections, functional testing, commissioning and final handover.
Completed is not the same as resolved
Particular attention is given to the quality and technical suitability of completed work. A reported defect is not considered technically resolved solely because repair work has been completed. Where applicable, the completed work is inspected and functionally verified before technical closure.
One thread through the project
Continuous technical supervision provides transparency throughout the project and helps ensure that the different disciplines involved remain coordinated from the initial finding through to the completed technical solution.
